Walked past this frozen puddle a couple of times on Saturday before I decided to go after it. As it warmed up the ice disappeared and the snow melted, which I was in favor of but I had to work fast.
VIETNAM: PRINT DESIGN: JANE GARDNER
In Jane Gardner’s own words: “This is Vietnam is a typographic book inspired by an interview with two of my veteran uncles about their experiences fighting in the Vietnam War. From the interview, I pulled specific quotes and phrases that I felt strongly captured their stories, using bold graphic elements to express the chaos and intensity of the war.”
Gardner draws inspiration from the 1950s along with vintage advertisements and typography.
